What is GladiatorPLUS for horses?
GladiatorPLUS is a feed with high bioavailability in liquid form to support the natural life processes within the body of your horse. Propolis, ginseng and milk thistle were already known to the ancient Egyptians and Chinese thousands of years ago and were used for their excellent properties.
In GladiatorPLUS these substances are supplied in a special way, in a 100% water-soluble and patented form. In this way the ingredients can support and revitalise quickly and reliably even with small highly concentrated amounts.
GladiatorPLUS is a special liquid and actually recommended for every life situation. GladiatorPLUS is a feed tool so that the body receives targeted, individually adjusted natural life processes. Your horse is consciously supported.
GladiatorPLUS: Well-being and quality of life
Balance nutrient deficiencies, maintain the immune system, ensure intestinal health, support the metabolism and lower stress levels.
Nature in a water-soluble form – highly effective and with optimal bioavailability. Not a large number of different products, but one reliable solution.
The aim of feeding is the long-term quality of life and well-being of your horse. It should be in a position to be able to call on its energy potential optimally. GladiatorPLUS can be taken as an intensive feed (every day for 40 days), as a long-term support (3x per week) or during particularly stressful periods. When taken regularly, the recognised active ingredients and water-soluble natural substances become a reliable source of strength and energy, but at the same time provide internal calm and balance. When combined with sufficient exercise and good food, you will maintain the resistance and quality of life of your horse.
Awaken physical strength
Keep the body environment of your horse healthy through the right feed
Horses face challenges every day. Great demands are made on the body to cope with everything. There is often a lack of strength and energy to enjoy life.
Imagine that the inside of a horse's body is like a house. The organism can become overloaded through our current feed, animal husbandry and stress. If the house is dirty, there is not enough strength for vitality and enjoyment of exercise. The body is continuously using up too much energy.
Our concern as health advisors is to provide the body with important nutrients and plants and to maintain physical strength naturally. Clean, receptive cells are important for a healthy, energetic life.

Recognised active ingredients and valuable natural materials as well as the effective combination of natural substances even out nutrient deficiencies and support the body's own defences in order to maintain your horse's quality of life. Customer experiences provide evidence to confirm more vitality, balance and ability to perform. GladiatorPLUS is in many cases a reliable support in horse feed to give your horse an energetic, long life.
It's a matter of supporting the body from the outset
The physiologically valuable substances from nature such as propolis, ginseng, artichoke and beetroot promote the vital functions of the body and support the organism on an everyday basis. They are able to optimise the use of nutrients in normal feed and to support the horse's body in regeneration as a feed supplement.
Feed propolis, silica and milk thistle during stressful periods and as a preventative healthcare
Not only old, sick and injured horses, which have an increased need for high quality nutrients, can benefit from water-soluble ingredients with bioavailability. These natural substances can also make a successful contribution as a feed supplement for horses and for prophylaxis of feed-induced deficiencies and the resulting weight loss.
Vets and therapists are happy to recommend GladiatorPLUS on the basis of its universal opportunities for use because of simple feeding and good acceptance by horses.
The special ingredients
100% natural and water-soluble
Quality and guarantee
100% tested and sustainable
GladiatorPLUS is produced in excellent food quality and is regularly tested by an independent institute.
The physiologically valuable ingredients are processed in a special procedure into important nutritional components. Not only the ingredient itself and the high quality are decisive factors, but also the dosage form, combination and ratio of the substances contribute to an optimal feed result.
The latest research results are continually taken into consideration during manufacturing by using a special process that saves raw materials and is implemented in our family-run business.
Special manufacturing process
The ingredients reach the metabolism reliably
The special feature of water-solubility: A patented special process, called solubilisation, made it possible to convert the physiologically effective ingredients such as propolis, milk thistle, silica and ginseng into a water-soluble form – and through this to offer the body optimal bioavailability.
This means that the recognised active and natural ingredients can be absorbed quickly and effectively In short: We bring the effective substances actually into the metabolism.
100% water-soluble (solubilised) and with high bioavailability
The organism of horses can hardly absorb any fat-soluble substances and they therefore leave the body without being used. Propolis for example is almost insoluble in water in its natural state. Only with solubilised propolis is there a reliable distribution of over 90 percent in the metabolism. In the final analysis this special feature means that the vitamins, trace elements and secondary plant substances can be processed much better leading to greater vitality.
It is not so decisive to provide the body with raw amounts of active substances. However: Less is more – with optimal bioavailability.
Feed the strength of nature
Quality of life: In combination with species-appropriate feed composition and sufficient exercise, natural substances can make a valuable contribution to maintaining the quality of life and vitality of the horse.
Drainage: Artichokes and the "liver plant“ milk thistle as well as choline provide a special form of support to the liver, the body's chemical laboratory. This is where the blood is filtered and relieved of harmful substances. Regular cleaning through a strong liver also relieves stress on the other detoxifying organs such as the intestines, kidney and skin.
Immune system: Regular drainage with natural substances has a positive effect on the entire immune system and generally promotes the health of the intestines - the main location of the immune system. The health of the gastrointestinal tract is a decisive factor for your horse to enjoy exercise and have good rideability.
Coat and hoofs: Silica, ginseng and propolis provide your horse with feed building blocks for hoof growth and a glossy coat and have also ensured an evenly distributed coat colour. Natural substances have proved particularly valuable during moulting.
Strengthening: Propolis and ginseng are fed in particular to older horses, for regeneration, after treatment to strengthen the general condition of the horse. They support your horse reliably through high performance and stressful situations because they strengthen the body and mind.
Willingness to perform and ability to cope with stress: Selected plant substances help your horse to be able to use its natural performance potential optimally. Energy is provided whilst supporting balance at the same time. This improves regeneration especially after stressful periods.
Feed usage: Artichokes, milk thistle, propolis and biotin have a positive impact on digestion and are in a position to improve food usage. This is why they support feeding success particularly for horses with digestive disorders such as dysbiosis (gut fermentation) and the resulting problems such as watery stools, diarrhoea, colic and immune weakness.

GladiatorPLUS is feed supplement with high bioavailability in liquid form to support the natural life processes within the body of your horse. Propolis, ginseng and milk thistle were already known to the ancient Egyptians and Chinese thousands of years ago and were used for their excellent properties. In GladiatorPLUS these substances are prepared in a special way to become 100% water-soluble and have been patented. In this way the ingredients can support and revitalise quickly and reliably even with small highly concentrated amounts. GladiatorPLUS is a special liquid and actually recommended for every situation. GladiatorPLUS is a feed tool so that the body receives targeted, individually tailor-made natural life processes. Your horse is consciously provided for.
Dr. Hans-Martin Steingassner, veterinary specialist and author
“GladiatorPLUS has been able to achieve an excellent symbiosis between propolis, ginseng and silica, which supplement each other to maintain a normal immune system. GladiatorPLUS therefore helps me a great deal and is fully integrated into the everyday life of my practice as a feed tool .”
After three decades of laboratory research GladiatorPLUS offers an ideally harmonised combination of recognised active ingredients, plant extracts, resins and physiologically valuable components, with optimal bioavailability as a result of the patented special process of solubilisation. They are provided in a water-soluble dosage form, which is therefore ideal for absorption by the body.
This means that GladiatorPLUS and its high quality, high energy ingredients are of organic quality and actually reach the metabolism of your animal and can therefore lead to the desired feeding success.
The quality of life and health of a horse depends causatively on its feed, husbandry and the amount of exercise it is given. The sound condition and activity of the gut flora also plays a special role in this. If it is damaged, it offers pathogens such as bacteria and viruses an ideal port of entry into the body. The gut was already considered by Paracelsus to be the centre of well-being and modern medicine also has no doubts that it is responsible for health to a large extent: 80 per cent of the immune system is in the gut.
The gut environment can be cared for consistently with the help of high quality natural substances and in this way maintain the healthy stability and performance of the horse in the long term.
GladiatorPLUS is in many cases a reliable support in horse feed precisely when deficiencies are to be balanced in a targeted manner. In this way the ingredients strengthen and revitalise quickly and reliably even with small highly concentrated amounts. Vets and therapists are happy to recommend GladiatorPLUS because it has universal opportunities for use, is easy to feed and is well-accepted by horses.
The food supplement GladiatorPLUS is also available for humans. It is on sale in the following bottle sizes: 500 ml and 1,000 ml.
No, GladiatorPLUS is expressly not a pharmaceutical product, even though it is recommended by a large number of vets and therapists. GladiatorPLUS is a feed supplement for horses.
From the outset it was our intention to create and offer the best possible product – and not the cheapest product. All the ingredients are therefore obtained in the best food and pharmaceutical quality and undergo complex purification processes in order to rule out contamination with pesticides for example.
Last but not least we also hope that you will be satisfied with the quality of our service. Our objective is to explain health topics – also beyond selling GladiatorPLUS products.
GladiatorPLUS is a special liquid and actually recommended for every situation. GladiatorPLUS is a feed tool so that the body receives targeted, individually tailor-made natural life processes or balances out deficiencies. Your horse is consciously provided for.
So far animal owners, vets and therapists have not reported any negative effects after feeding GladiatorPLUS. Should you notice any reaction, please inform us immediately. Please consult your vet or therapist before feeding it to any over-sensitive animals or those with known allergies to one or more of the ingredients in the feed.
GladiatorPLUS can be fed all year round. GladiatorPLUS is suitable as a supplementary feed to be fed at the same time as other products and feed supplements.
GladiatorPLUS is not a miracle product – and yet we are often amazed by the wide range of feeding options and experiences, which our customers, vets and therapists tell us about. You can read our reports based on experience.
We confirm that the product with the description GladiatorPLUS – liquid feed supplement – does not contain any of the substances banned by the World Anti Doping Agency according to the list of ingredients available to us and the notification that the plant ingredients are all in the physiological field.
However, in general a waiting period of 48 hours applies to feed supplements which stimulate the metabolism and the circulation. Individual substances, which stimulate the metabolism (herbs, plants) must not exceed a percentage proportion of 0.5% in relation to the daily ration. GladiatorPLUS occupies a special position here because it is fed in very small amounts. The percentage proportion of the daily feed ration of 25 ml GladiatorPLUS is significantly under 1% in most cases. The proportion of the all the ingredients it contains is therefore under 0.5% percent in relation to the daily feed ration. It is our aim to maintain and support the health of animals in stressful situations through the targeted provision of nutrients.
As a manufacturer we therefore recommend: in cases of doubt please allow a waiting time of 48 hours. However, we are not aware of any positive doping tests. 9th January 2015, Dr. rer. Nat. Ernst Miller, officially certified Food Chemist, Member of UMI GmbH
GladiatorPLUS is available in three bottle sizes: 100 ml, 500 ml and 1,000 ml.
The use by date is two years after the date of manufacture. An opened bottle should be stored in a cool, dark place but not in the fridge and used within two to four months.
Originally GladiatorPLUS was exclusively a special laboratory for blood analysis. A blood analysis procedure developed during this stage made it possible to make information in body juices visible, identifiable and use it for assessment. Incorrect information, in other words the information that makes an organism ill, can be decoded in this way. It was determined in vitro (in laboratory tests) during the next stage of the procedure which new, positive information stimulates the organism’s self-healing properties against the old, negative information. Tests that cause animals stress have become unnecessary because of this procedure.
Today we use this analytical procedure for research purposes and for continuous further development. It forms the basis of the important results we have achieved in three decades of research: every organism is in a position to overcome the restricting incorrect information through the correct positive information and corresponding nutrients. Once it has been released, the organism again has the opportunity to develop its full potential.
GladiatorPLUS Horse contains water, ginseng, propolis, bee resin, malt sprouts, crude lecithin, beetroot, milk thistle, artichoke, natural apple flavouring, silicic acid, calcium, biotin, choline, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2, pantothenic acid.
GladiatorPLUS contains high quality secondary plant substances as well as its high quality plant ingredients.
“GladiatorPLUS is a unique product on the market and offers the highest quality in a sensible composition.”, says Dr. Hans Martin Steingassner, vet.
Ginseng, also known as the “root of life”, is probably the most widely used plant-based nutritional supplement in the world and has a tradition stretching back thousands of years particularly in Asia.
It is generally known that ginseng has a strengthening and revitalising effect, which promotes the development of strength and energy as well as the immune system, improving concentration and memory performance. It promotes the circulation and in doing so improves the absorption of oxygen and accelerates regeneration. Ginseng has high bioavailability in a water-soluble form.
Ginseng was already mentioned as a remedy and nutrient in 1080. Wild ginseng grows so slowly in shady woodland that it cannot be harvested for at least three years. The older the plant, the higher the quality. The highest quality ginseng is harvested only after six or seven years. We use exclusively ginseng roots of the highest quality and maturity.
Properties of ginseng
It has been established that ginseng has adaptogenic (balancing) properties. This means that it can help the body to adjust to various mental and physical stress factors. The animal is therefore supported in regaining its equilibrium – function reductions are improved and hyper functions decrease.
Ginseng strengthens the cardiovascular system, improves circulation and regulates blood pressure. By increasing the oxygen level in the blood, it supports the animal’s infection defence and ability to regenerate.
Ginseng can have a positive effect on metabolic processes, by promoting the vitality and movement of the stomach and intestines as well as natural detoxification.
Ginseng supports the body in many ways so that it can make optimal use of its self-healing strengths and is in a position to protect itself against stressful external influences.
Possible consequences of glycosides and saponin deficiency
A lack of glycosides in the body, such as for example ginsenoides in particular, can lead to nervous disorders (stress), muscle tension, cramp and even pain. However, motor coordination can also be disrupted, which can be indicated through problems with intestinal peristalsis and therefore feed conversion.
The saponins contained in ginseng support the body’s natural detoxification. A deficiency can reduce the body’s ability to reduce inflammation amongst other things. By providing sufficient saponins, many other positive reactions in the body can be explained because the key to well-being and quality of life lies in the body’s own potential to detoxify itself.
Origin & effect of propolis
Propolis is produced by bees from buds and the bark of various plants and is used very cleverly: they use this resin substance to seal their damp-warm hives and keep them free of germs and fungus. Any bacteria, fungus and other microorganisms that have already penetrated the hive are prevented from developing by propolis and ideally killed. As a result of the way in which it works, propolis has already been used since ancient times as a natural antibiotic.
What makes propolis an ideal component of the nutritional supplement for your horse?
The excellent composition of high quality natural substances combined with anti-oxidative phenol compounds make propolis a real jewel amongst nutritional supplements.
Propolis is fat-soluble by nature and can be made water-soluble through a special process called solubilisation. This means it is available to the body reliably and quickly – with high bioavailability – and reaches the metabolism rapidly.
Propolis as an all-rounder for every situation
Owing to its positive influence on the intestines, the immune system is supported in undertaking its tasks to an even greater extent. This enables the body to consistently defend itself against germs. However if the germs have already caused some harm, the pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and healing effect of propolis make it a reliable support during the regeneration process.
Silicic acid (silicium) is considered to be a trace element in nutrition – although it is one of the most common elements on earth.
Silicium is found in the bones, cartilage, teeth, hair and horn, but its most important role is in the suppleness and tensile strength of the connective tissue, tendons and ligaments.
In the connective tissue it has the task of improving the ability to store moisture and to support the creation of collagen. This is why silicium plays a major role in forming bones and cartilage as well as in regenerating the tendons and strengthening the blood vessels through higher quality and elasticity. Silicium also appears to prevent infections by increasing the activity of the lymphocytes.
The metabolism of silicium, which is regulated by the corticoid, sexual and thyroid hormones, leads to a change in the level and form of silicium in the body particularly when older. Whilst silicium is available in a colloidal dissolved form in the tissues when young and ensures suppleness, not only the re-absorbency of silicium declines with age but also its activity.
When it is made into a water-soluble form silicium has high bioavailability and is quickly metabolised in the tissues, skin and horn. This means that the tissue can regenerate and success quickly becomes “visible”.
Solubilised silicium strengthens the health of bones, cartilage and tendons within the entire fascial tissue and therefore protects the organism. A lack of silicium can lead to cartilage damage and weakness of the tendons and ligaments. However, impaired growth, skin disorders such as chronic eczema, itching, hair loss, brittle hooves and gum disease can be indications of a possible silicium deficiency.
It became officially known from the nutrition report by the Federal Government in 1996 that so-called secondary plant substances should be part of nutrition because they exert a positive effect on the entire immune system and support the body in its battle against infections from bacteria, viruses and fungus.
Secondary plant substances are chemical compounds which are synthesised by plants. In the meantime 60,000 to 100,000 different substances have been discovered, above all in herbs, seasoning and roots. They are used by plants as the sole possible defence strategy against predatory herbivores such as pathogens, fungus and insects. Some secondary plant substances protect plants against radiation and evaporation.
In contrast to primary plant substances such as carbohydrates, fats, protein and fibre, secondary plant substances do not provide energy in nutrition. They are also not regarded as vitamins or minerals. However, they support the animal in being able to improve its conversion of the energy available from the primary plant substances. A deficiency has a detrimental effect on health and can impair well-being. For this reason it is important to ensure an appropriate supply of secondary plant substances in modern scientifically considered nutrition for a horse.
As well as many vitamins and minerals, artichokes also contain the bittern "cynarin", which stimulates the liver and gall bladder as well as cell-protecting plant substances. The active ingredients in artichokes promote digestion and detoxify. This helps the stomach and intestines, liver and gall bladder in particular, but is also good for the heart and circulation. Artichokes in a water-soluble form have high bioavailability and are quickly available to the metabolism.
Like many plants artichokes are also useful for several organ and bodily functions such as for the stomach and intestines when feeling nauseous or when vomiting and for flatulence, stomach ache and loss of appetite. They also stimulate liver metabolism during periods of stress, regenerate and strengthen in the event of liver disease and accelerate the excretion of metabolic products (such as bile acids, bilirubin) from the blood and urine for example.
Milk thistle is a tried and trusted medicinal plant, which was already grown in German monastery gardens in the Middle Ages. Its combination of active ingredients with silymarin and its derivative silibinin increase the liver’s natural protective barrier against poisonous substances and lead to the creation and regeneration of liver cells and inhibition of inflammation when poisoning already exists. Milk thistle can therefore be used both for acute and chronic liver problems.
Milk thistle has a detoxifying effect by shielding the liver cells from cell poisons, regenerates liver cells, is anti-oxidative and helps the gall bladder to digest fat whilst also acting as a light laxative.
Why feed milk thistle?
Milk thistle can support the body’s own detoxification mechanisms in a targeted manner. This enables the organism to improve its reaction to stressful environmental influences and to consistently free itself from pathogenic poisons through an efficient metabolism. Milk thistle has high bioavailability when it is in a water-soluble form and is therefore rapidly availably to the liver metabolism.
Beetroot is also known by the names mangold, red beet, beet or garden beet and is related to spinach. The red colour of the root vegetable comes from the colorant betanin, which is a secondary plant substance and lowers the risk factor homocysteine for heart disease. Beetroot provides vitamins A, C, B and folic acid. It also contains iodine, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphor and iron. There is also anthocyanin, which protects against cancer, and nitrate, which lowers blood pressure amongst other things. All its ingredients make beetroot a wonderful root tuber.
Beetroot was already considered to be a blood-forming medicinal plant in the olden days because of its red juice. We now know that it is not the colorant but the iron and folic acid contained in the vegetable that play a role in blood formation. Both the trace element iron and vitamin B contribute to blood formation.
Folic acid is very sensitive to heat and light. The manufacturing process which protects the nutrients and later storage in the carton enable a large proportion of the vitamin to be retained.
Regular consumption encourages the formation of so-called mitochondria (the cell’s power house). The more mitochondria in the organism, the more efficient it becomes. Anyone who has more mitochondria when they are older, will also age more slowly and remain young. This means that the wonderful root tuber provides vitality, the more healthy mitochondria that the body possesses.
